Weekly Debrief

It's Friday evening. You shipped something. You also missed three deadlines. You had a great customer call and a brutal investor rejection. You've been avoiding a difficult conversation with your co-founder for two weeks.

The week is over. You should probably process it—figure out what mattered, what didn't, what you're carrying into Monday that you shouldn't be. But "process the week" isn't a thing you do. It's a thing you know you should do. And then Monday starts with all the same weight Friday ended with.

Most founders don't debrief. The week just ends and the next one starts. The organized ones keep a journal they write in sporadically when things feel especially good or especially bad. It helps in the moment. But there's no structure, no pattern detection, no one asking "What are you avoiding?" when they need to hear it.

This template gives you that structure. Answer 8 questions—wins, struggles, what you avoided, a stuck decision, your energy state, next week's ONE thing. Takes 10 minutes. You get back a debrief document that reframes your wins, validates your struggles, and surfaces patterns you might not see.

The question "What did you avoid this week?" is often the most revealing. Founders procrastinate on the things they're afraid of—the co-founder conversation, the financial reality check, the decision they know they need to make. Naming it doesn't solve it. But it stops it from hiding.
